Who are we ?

We are a small Emu Farm.  We go to County Fairs, special Farm Days, Food and Beverage Shows or where ever we can advertise the Emus.  Besides selling to some stores and restaurants, we sell on the Internet and directly on the farm. Farm-visits are welcome and can be arranged.

On show days we sell some Emu Products for reduced, special prices.  We also give out samples to taste of Emu Steaks and/or Emu Snack Sticks.  Our meat and Snack Sticks carry the `Virginia's Finest` Seal.  We are accepting Credit and Debit Cards.  We also accept  cards and checks on the farms and at fairs.  For many  it is a convenience not to carry cash.  We ship meat packed in 'Dry Ice' and special cold-boxes.

All our Products are stored in temperature controlled facilities.  Our walk-in freezer is kept at minus 18 to 20 degrees Fahrenheit.  Our walk-in cooler is 35 to 37 degrees Fahrenheit.  All processing is done in a USDA certified facility (the meat and snack Sticks have the "USDA inspected" label affixed) and the Oil - refinery is certified for Food-grade refining.  Our Pure Emu Oil is certified as "Fully Refined" by the American Emu Association.  We are proud, that our Products carry the "Virginia's Finest" Logo from the 'Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services". 

Baranca Acres Ltd. is  the farm-name and we sell and advertise under the name of  "Emu of Virginia".  Besides the Emus, the farm has a variety of other animals, Bantam chickens, ducks, pea-fowl and a Newfoundland dog and an outdoor cat.  Wild Canadian geese, wood ducks, turkeys, rabbits and deer are visiting and having young ones on the farm.  Seasonal and year-round bird-sales are depending on what bird the customer is looking for.
